Yes, AC was on with set to 23°C.
No other way with whole Family inside.

Next longer trip will go to Regensburg (app. 230km one way)
It means I have to charge public for the way back.

And for vacation in August we want to go to Austria (550 km one way)
I'm curious about it!

I always drive with the AC on, I might have to change that while driving an EV.
I'm curious to the trip to Austria, fully packed with luggage and the whole family I guess. The car will gain a couple of hundred kilos in weight. But still, it can charge while you're having lunch, so only one stop is needed I think. How are the public charing stations in Germany and Austria? In Holland almost every station along the highway has a fastnet station to supercharge EV's. In the city's and in most villages are plenty of normal public stations. Apparently we have a very good network (so we are being told), because people a being warned that across the border the network (Tesla aside) isn't that good as within the Netherlands. But I think they're referring to France, Spain, Italy and Portugal most likely.

Now I can give a second report.
Trip to my employer in Regensburg and back.
The following direction was used:
Home - Oberwiesental - Karlsbad - Eger - Waldsassen - Mitterteich - Weiden - Regensburg
Between both trips I charge public on AC.


Test conditions:
Car: MG Marvel R Luxury in normal mode
Load: 1 Adults, small bag with laptop
Road: 75% highway, 15% country road, 10% city
Altitude: Start at 650m of high, destination at 337m of high and backwards inverted
Speed: city and country road according to rules, highway 120 kmh (way back 100 kmh)
Distance: first run ~237 km, second run ~215 km
Temperature: between 20°C and 23°C during the day / 13°C and 18°C in night.

Next will be the trip to Austria. In addition to the trip above we will be fully loaded and with luggage bag on the roof.

Thnx, I don't know exactly how to read the dashboard, but I think you had 34 (121 km) and 40% (141 km) battery left. is that correct? So in both cases aprox 350 km range. I think that the real numbers are great.

So we just did a 3,000 km roadtrip in the Marvel.

At 120kph with 4 people and frunk and trunk totally full - we can get 330-350 on a single charge. Consumption here was around 21.

If you slow it down to 100 I was closing in on 400 - but the journey is painfully slow at that speed and you get passed by everyone from children on tricycles to busses full of nuns. Consumption here was around 19.

Hi all, I'm new here and have a couple of questions. I ordered mine MG Marvel Luxury concrete gray with black leather seats in March, delivery is scheduled half September. Due to the lack of an Dutch forum, I found this one. My German is not that good, but with google translate I'll manage Could anyone be so kind to share the real reach of an luxury model. WLTP is 402 km, but I was wondering what is is for real, normale use and wether conditions. Also I read some things about creaky chairs. Does anyone have experience with that issue?

About the delivery time, My dealer recently told me that the factory was closed for 9 weeks due to Covid in Shanghai. The normal delivery time I aprox 4 months, but due to the closing of the factory this will be about 6 months.

Thanks for your question...we woul order our M-R Luxury this week and a real consumption is very interesting.

We would order the Beton Grey colour, but we had never seen it in real before, did you? Maybe you had some pictures for me?
By the way, we make vacation 2 times a year in Netherlands (Callantsoog).

I really hope it's possible to get 300km also in winter...the parents of my wife life 125km one way distance...don't want to charge on this way

I've never seen the colour for real, only on a picture. But the is a YouTube link on this site (new colors in German) were you can see the colour I believe.

I order the car in March, and received an Email this week the the car will be ready for me in the week of 31/10, software update en tow bar included.

Callantsoog, thats a nice place/beach . 125 KM back and forward (250 km), I think you can do that without charging. And otherwise you'll have to leave you family in law early. For some of us that isn't a punishment, haha!

Do you like the car in general?

Sorry for late respons.
In general I like the car. It is nice to drive, have good quality an is really quiet inside.
My children like the space on the back seat and the panorama glass roof.
In my opinion the car is a good choice for the money

Our holiday trip to Austria was also nice.
We drive full loaded with 2 adults, 2 children,
complete used luggage room (front and back) and in addition with a luggage bag on the roof.
(I know, an aerodynamic disaster….)
Speed on highway was around 120 kmh.
For both directions I had nearly the same result.
22 kwh/100km to Austria with sunny and dry weather.
23 kwh/100km back to Germany with much rain.

Think it is ok for such conditions.
