Re: My "new" Fluence
26.11.2019 11:55Last 15-nov had the car towed to a Nissan and Renault dealer.
They have been making diagnose on it, and came up with two problems, there is something draining the 12V battery, and there is a relay inside the battery pack that is not working, and causing the car to not run.
Yesterday went to the shop to speak to them.
They said they are not authorized to touch inside the Fluence battery pack, but if it was Nissan they could open and repair the battery pack.
I requested the quote to change or repair the battery pack, outside Renault.
Or to give me an estimate of what they can pay for the car in the purchase of another vehicle.
waiting answer now.

Could it be that it is actuallly only one problem, that the malfunctioning Relay is also draining the battery?

I wish that was the case. The other scenario is way more expensive for my side.
Either way, what i complain the most is the delay from Renault to deal with the problem.
Had a call today, they say the diagnose process must be completed under Renault protocol, before any decision.

Re: My "new" Fluence
04.12.2019 16:03The car was sold to me as having batteries included, it turned out Renault says the batteries are leased in the name of the first owner, which is a car leasing company. Payments are done as contracted, but i am not the subscriber. It's a mess.

Motor is fine.
There is a problem in the PEB.
The estimate is about 3300, including labour and tax.
It doesn't mention the time or delivery for the parts.
I must decide now what to do next.

Delivery time is 9 working days. Not to bad!
I just have to decide now whether to sink another 3300€ in a car that's worth 5000€, or scrap it and move on with my life.
The Renault seller says he can't give any money for the car as it is.
The breaker wants it for a song.

Terrible to read.
We have recently dicided to accept the offer from Renault, and step over to the VW e-Golf E-Dition.
They are very cooperatve to let us keep the car until the golf arrives sometime in April 2020.

How much are they giving for the Fluence?
Is cash on hand and not exchange for a new Renault?
I guess in my case, because it broke down out of warranty, they feel they are not obliged to nothing anymore.
