http://myoutlanderphev.com/forum/viewto ... f=9&t=2777First test of 19,5 kWh battery in PHEV: I have built prototype of higher capacity battery, by replacing factory modules of 8xL40 with my modules, built from chinese cheap cells (...) of 19,5 kWh total installed inside factory battery (...). Factory BMS handles this (with small tweak). I cannot say that first tests are full success (some issues while driving like - car is not regen at all for first 20 km of drive) but it more or less works.
https://de-de.facebook.com/Phevbox/I plan to drive with these chinese cells for 1 month and using some spare money from PHEV Box project I will try to build regular, fully stable battery with good quality japan cells capacity of 23,5 kWh - then I can tell what will be total cost of replacement per user - if you 'll be interested in.
