AC charging:
IMG_2224.PNG
Charged with go-eCharger at 11 kW, so I think the charging power is plausible. What I was confused about, are the zero values (AC Voltage and AC Current) and the values of DC Voltage and DC Current. Is this because of the AC/DC-Converter?

Today I checked odometer two times and it matched with the odometer of the car.

Has the i3 somewhere data for the charging ratio (for example 70 % AC, 30 % DC)?

How do you detect the charging power on DC

new updated build pushed,

noticably : WiFi adapters should be supported
(app does NOT provide WIFI setup and assumes that you've done setup pre-work)

Code: Alles auswählen

- v1.0 (5)
- Switches between BT(default) and WIFI adapters by clicking top-left icon
- Prevents sleeping after StateDiscovering until StateGone
- Charge DC / Phases visualization fix
- Charging time: format fix
- StatusLabel contains version(build) details
- Explicit option to share internal log over email as simple text format
  logs are cleared this action.
- WIP: Log charts design

these are needed for testing only over different data sources, w
will be removed later,
Charging is "AC" or "DC" only,
pretty much, not all at once...

@Fridgeir

OBD interface has several sources...
not sure if this answers your question at full

The new BT/WiFi icon is a bit confusing, as while using BT, it shows WiFi (for switching to that), and vice versa. Is there room to rather have a toggle switch where both options are visible at all times, and the active one is highlighted?

How should the "Cell aging factor" be interpreted (showing [0.6985])?

Feature request: When showing battery cell data, also show which cell that reports the min/max values. E.g. is the cell with the lowest voltage/SoC/capacity also the one with the lowest temp?

Anyhow, this is by far the simplest and quickest app I've used for OBD2. Sets up both BT and car connectivity really quick, and no need to mess with various protocol settings. Some of that benefit come from being targeted to a specific car.

Bug: When charging at >16A single phase (in this case 30A), only one L-wire has mains voltage, but two chargers in the car are splitting the load. The app then shows "Charging Power 3.27 kW", likely by calculating 14.8A * 221V. Correct should be (14.9A+14.8A)*221V = 6.56 kW. That also aligns with the power to the battery, 15.56A * 392.70V = 6.11 kW (after AC/DC losses).

Feature request: Calculate and show charging loss in % or kW (in this case 6.11/6.54 - 1 = 6.6% or 6.56 kW- 6.11 kW = 0.45 kW)

point about icons taken ,
already thinking about better way...

>How should the "Cell aging factor" be interpreted (showing [0.6985])?
formally:Current aging factor of the serial and parallel ohmic resistance as well as the parallel capacitance (1.5 =
increase of the current resistance by 50%)
checking yet if needed for detailed battery health evaluation...

>When showing battery cell data, also show which cell that reports the min/max values. E.g. is the cell with the lowest voltage/SoC/capacity also the one with the lowest temp?
a cell, hmm - let me see....

interesting and should be fixed next build, Danke!

let me consider it

@MaxD Thanks for providing the update of your app. It seems that v1.0 (5) is very slow. It takes more than 2 Minutes to transfer the initial data record via BT and also the update of the data records is extremly slow. With v1.0 (2) the transfer rates were significantly faster.

How can I access the internal log? I can't find the function in the app.

I believe I could improve pulling/refreshing speed and next version should be faster

about logs :
these are mostly dev. related: you can press 6th than 4th cell - app will popup email dialog with question to send by email logs.
you can cancel send and delete or place email to drafts.

Logs are easily readable, plain text.
the only option to share corner cases
