Sehe ich das richtig, dass es in diesem Service Manual genau so vorgeschrieben ist, wie es in dem Video auch vorgegeben wird?

...sieht zumindest danach aus...aber es ist ein Update zu einem Service-Manual....damit gibt es zumindest schonmal ein Risko, dass nicht alle Händler dies richtig im Ordner ablegen und befolgen...ist aber schon gaaaanz alt, das Ding...wenn Andy also recht hat, wäre es ein Armutszeugnis..

The plot thickens: For whatever reason, there are two different orthodoxies within the greater Mitsubishi family. Contrary to what I said earlier, there is actually documentation describing MUT3 reset-wrangling after a pack swap.

In reading it, I think I can guess what's gone wrong here. More later, once I've digested it.

So the procedure is in the workshop manual. I was wrong about that. And, surprise, surprise, it seems to be badly worded. There's a reset for the capacity estimate and a separate reset for the "control information." I can see how it would be easy to miss one of these steps.

Is this what the dealers did wrong? Did they skip a step?

There's a bulletin that supercedes it, MSB-14EXML00_54-001. The new wording makes the two-step process clearer, and now refers to the entire procedure as "initialize" (rather than reset).
