Hi Menno,

I have to play around with the carger profile. Currently I'd like to try the following:

1. Stage: 394V / 20A (although it's only 8A coming out)
- go to second stage when: Voltage is above 396V or Current is below 5A
- Switch on fist yellow LED for setting the onboard charger to max.

2. Stage: 394V / 20A
- go to third stage when: Voltage is above 396V or Current is below 1A
- Switch off first yellow LED -> give control of onboard charger back to the car.

3. Stage: 0V/0A - Charge End: only Green LED on

The "Booster" will be set to work between 4A and 14A (AC current!)

Cheers
Andreas

P.S. I would guess that with >400V the car should interrupt the charge due to overvoltage.

Interesting device and in principle it can do almost the same as my gateway.
But as I already mentioned: How will you externally control if data will be modified or not? Switch modification on/off?
If you always modify then you will overcharge as the internal charger is no longer controlles by the car.

You could try to "hard-insert" the whole thing with a relais in the CAN-Bus. If you want to switch it off, you can then simply bypass it. This will lead to some errors on the bus but possibly the car tolerates that.

Cheers
Andreas

My company let our chargers produce it in China (we have a inverter factory for solar so connections I this business is easy!

We produce 3.4kw, 6.8kw, 9.9kw, 16.5kw and 19.8kw this is for EU because the on-board charger still operate for inboard auxiliary like cooling fan.. This max will use 0.8kw.

Our chargers will charge the car to 95% and the rest will do with onboard charger because of balancing

3.4kw charger connect parallel is cheaper and cost: 445,- each and the conversion rate is super high so no big air cooling needed.. My old brusas produced insane heat..

Hello jinko,

do you have technical details / datasheets for these chargers?
As I understand you, the charger charges up to 95% and then turns off. The rest is job of the onboard charger? So it is not necessary to communicate with the onboard systems?
Do you have a website for this products?

thank you...
