KEBA KeContact P20 & Laden am PV Strom - und läuft

A few notes for people who want to do what I did:
- yes, the debug port is an ethernet port and it works;
- it is wired as a DCE, so if you want to connect it to a hub, use a cross cable. On the right side of the connector is a carrier LED;
- once connected, it obtains it's IP address through DHCP. It is not a DHCP server itself, luckily!
- it has an extremely simple read-only web server. One page stating firmware version, temperature, state and mac address, one page with very basic logging events. It is all html, not some neat JSON or XML, so to reprocess it, you have to parse out the data yourself.

There seems to be no obvious way to control the box this way, but maybe there are hidden gems. I bet there are!

In my current setup, this is enough. I can meter in the fuse panel, and control (as in: on/off only) through the hardware switch, the blue wire-pair in my previous picture. Still..........

Hallo SmartEd,

I am very curious how things are going with testing / releasing the new firmware for the P20.

From my end, the minor news is that the Zoë delivery has been postponed until October 15th (car dealers and keeping promises, a tough combination). More interesting is that I am staying in contact with the engineer with who installed my P20. He hinted he might be able to do some greasing with respect to getting me a PLC version of the P20. Now that would be interesting, but seeing is believing. They seem to be genuinly interested in a bit smarter way of doing things. If there is anything to share I will post it here for you and the others to see.

Today I'm joining in here. I finally received my KeBa P20 (EH000R1B) and looking forward to join this beta test program here as well

The Zoë finally arrived so we are now getting into real life experience territory. My non-PLC P20, while sturdy, well build and when compared to the other brands is relatively cheap, it has no good way to control it. The PLC version is actually awaiting new software as Smarted indicated, but it will not work on my box I have been led to believe.

I will therefor commence hooking up the on/off contact of the P20 to a small relay board that in turn is connected to an arduino controller plus a cheap ethernet module. The very simple software for the arduino is already done: It can switch 4 relays through an HTTP get commands, it can transmit all codes for my remote light switches, count on two pins reliably (interrupt controlled) and 4 more polled. The pulse counter will be hooked up to the pulse contact of the kWh meter installed in the P20's main line, another polled input to the alarm contact of the solar inverter. Note this is just simply interfacing. All logic will be done elsewhere. If anyone is interested in the Arduino setup, drop a line here.

Super, will ich haben. Wo kann ich die passende KeContact P20 kaufen? Bei Conrad steht in der Bedienungsanleitung, daß die Netzwerkschnittstelle optional ist, ich kann diese aber dort nicht kaufen.

Ja, du kannst nicht die Basic nehmen.

Im UDP_Guide-PDF hab ich dich wiedergefunden, finde ich aber trotzdem nett von Ihnen auf sowas überhaupt hinzuweisen, manch andere Hersteller haben hier die Nase wesentlich höher.
