Frostig kalt oder hitzig heiß, immer wird der Akku es einem danken, wenn man den vor-klimatisiert (pre-conditioning).
Wie geht es ?
Einzig bekannt ist der Weg über die zeitliche Programmierung der Vorklimatisierung, also Startzeit und Vorklima mit gleichzeitigem Anschluß des Ladekabels.
Einfach nur auf Vorklimatisierung zu drücken, heizt nur die Fahrerkabine auf.
Funktioniert alles prima, hat der Akku am Schluß seine leistungsfähigen 10°C, generiert aus einem 1kW Zuheizer (ref. Electric Vehicles and the BMW I3, Position 700 + 784).
Wie aus den Messung hervorgeht, dauert der Prozeß des Pre-Conditioning bis zu 3 Stunden vor dem Abfahrttermin (prognostiziert anhand der Umgebungstemperatur), es folgen 1kW-Heizoperation. Etwa 20 Minuten vor Termin wird schließlich der Innenraum mit 5-7 kW temperiert.

Using the "Activate Climate Control" app feature on the left only preconditions the cabin. To precondition the battery as well as the cabin, use the "set departure time" feature which is accessed by pressing the small clock tab on the top right of the state of charge display screen. Once you set the departure time, you also need to slide the precondition tab to the "on" position.
