A question came up on the US e-Golf forum as to whether EU owners are actually getting the 70-90 mile range. Apparently some US Leaf owners get less than advertised, and the BMW i3 forum has a number of posts experiencing less range than advertised, and trying to analyze why....software updates, weather, city/highway, hills etc

Yet I haven't found many/any discussions on this EU forum about e-Golf range experiences. The first US cars started showing up last week, so us prospective US buyers are starting to ask the question.

As far as I know one can achieve this range.

But it depends mostly on the weather and the speed.

In summer (without air cond.): approx. 100-110 miles
Now (November; 5°C outside; heating 20°C): approx. 80-90 miles

If you go all the time with 60 mph I think you can not reach this range.

110 miles is almost the maximum !

In Winter you can reach 60-80 miles.
